Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)
The presentation begins by defining CNG and applicable terminology. It explores why CNG should be employed as a fueling source, why it is the best time to do so, and who could benefit from its use. It ventures into the CNG market, natural gas usage by country and state, and the economics of using CNG over diesel or gasoline. The presentation discusses key considerations for making the switch to CNG, including fleet statistics, miles traveled per year, vehicle maintenance and ownership, etc. It goes into CNG vehicles, fuel tank technologies, engines, vehicle performance, as well as fueling station options and maintenance facility regulations. The presentation finishes by discussing national standards for CNG, CNG code adaptation, and federal and state regulations that affect the use of CNG as an alternative fuel source.
