Join us for an informative program on lead in drinking water. Dolores Funke, PEDirector of Environmental Health for the Erie County Department of Health will reflect on the recent events in Flint Michigan that have raised awareness and concern over health risks to children from lead in drinking water. What is lead poisoning? How does it affect children and adults? What are the sources of lead in the environment, including drinking water? What do government regulations say, and how can engineers play a role in preventing lead poisoning?
